The 2026 NCAA women's basketball offseason has been busy so far for South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley. Earlier this week, she saw off three of her former players in Raven Johnson, Madina Okot and Ta'Niya Latson as they got drafted into the WNBA.

Now, with just five days remaining until the 2026 transfer portal window closes, Coach Staley is hitting the recruiting trail hard to build her roster for next season and beyond.

Let's take a look at some of the latest transfer portal targets for South Carolina so far, including big names that have visited Columbia recently.

G Jordan Lee

Coach Staley is quite familiar with Jordan Lee's game. The rising junior spent the last two seasons at Texas, the same team which knocked off South Carolina twice this past year. She averaged 13.2 points last season for the Longhorns, including 2.5 boards and 2.5 assists per contest.

Her best performance against the Gamecocks came during Texas' 66-64 win over South Carolina, as she scored 19 points. Edward took a visit to Columbia on Tuesday, April 14, along with another big-time high school recruit.

F Oliviyah Edwards

Oliviyah Edwards visited South Carolina along with Lee on the 14th. Although Edwards isn't technically a transfer-portal player, the five-star recruit was recently released from her Tennessee letter of intent. Edwards, the No. 1 ranked power-forward from the class of 2026, was also offered by USC, LSU and South Carolina during her recruitment.

South Carolina was reportedly one of the first schools expected to be interested in the Iowa State transfer. Crooks, the No. 1 ranked player in this year's portal, has not visited South Carolina just yet.

She recently booked a visit to Maryland earlier this week, and followed Notre Dame women's basketball on Instagram. Although a visit hasn't happened for Crooks and Staley, there's no question that the Gamecocks are likely interested in the star center. She would fill in nicely for Madina Okot, who is now with the Atlanta Dream in the WNBA.

Crooks, from Algona, Iowa, finished this past season averaging 25.8 points per game with 7.7 rebounds and shooting 64.9 percent from the floor. She earned Associated Press and USBWA All-American second-team honors as a junior, and is a two-time All-American.

One of the top guards in the portal is Virginia's Kymora Johnson. She helped fuel a surprise run for the Cavaliers in this year's tournament, making it all the way to the Sweet 16.

A three-year starter for Virginia, Johnson is coming off of her best season yet, averaging 19.5 points per game with 4.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game last season.

Not to mention the fact that Staley being one of the greatest UVA women's basketball players in school history can't hurt. Johnson reportedly took a visit to South Carolina last week, although there appears to be no official sighting of her on campus.

While the transfer portal closes for players to officially file paperwork to enter the portal on April 20, players can still visit schools and make decisions after this date.
