It's officially OV season! Now that school is out for the summer, top recruits around the country are taking their official visits, taking in the red carpet rolled out by college football's biggest programs, and some programs are very creative. After all, the goal is to leave a lasting impression, right? And Shane Beamer and the South Carolina Gamecocks are bringing the energy.
During an official visit with four-star quarterback Landon Duckworth, Beamer busted out none other than the "Perfect Timing" celebration made famous by Shedeur Sanders. Yes, that one, where the wrist flex with the watch went viral and became a calling card for Sanders and young college QBs everywhere. While Sanders may be on to the next level finally, his signature celebration lives on in Columbia.
Duckworth, one of the top arms in the 2026 recruiting class, was all smiles as he posed with Coach Beamer, hitting the signature move. And let's just say, it broke the internet throughout Gamecock Nation.

But behind all the fun posts is a serious recruitment Duckworth, who is ranked No. 61 nationally and is the No. 6 quarterback in the class, originally committed to South Carolina back in 2023. But like many young recruits, he decided to reopen his recruitment in June of last year. Since then, Duckworth has been in a full-on battle within the SEC, with programs like Ole Miss, Georgia, Auburn, and Florida all in hot pursuit.
The recruitment trail has kept the Alabama native busy too, as he has taken official visits to Georgia and Auburn in May, before making his way to Columbia this past weekend, and now heading to Florida State and Ole Miss next.
Duckworth has not made an official recommitment to South Carolina just yet, but On3 currently lists the Gamecocks as having an 80% chance to land him, while 247Sports sees it more as a toss-up with Ole Miss.
The recruiting clock is ticking, and the Gamecocks are right on time.
