The South Carolina Gamecocks are looking to keep building in its 2027 recruiting class. Although the class has nine members, South Carolina will take all the talented prospects it can get as the summer recruiting months heat up.
One prospect that the Gamecocks are heavily recruiting are cornerback Kelvin Millington. The four-star cornerback prospect is rated by 247Sports as the nation's No. 38 player in his position group for 2027, and is the 42nd ranked prospect out of his home state of Georgia.
The cornerback is now down to his final three schools, including South Carolina. The Gamecocks will be competing against Texas Tech and he released his final three schools, and Virginia Tech for his services:

Millington will visit his final three schools next month. He is set to visit the Gamecocks on June 5, followed by a visit to Texas Tech on June 12 with Virginia Tech getting him last on June 19.
South Carolina's recruitment of Millington has drastically heated up in recent weeks. Earlier this month, he took an unofficial visit with the Gamecocks. He was so impressed with what he saw that he scheduled his official visit for June 5.
The Gamecocks do not yet have a cornerback in its 2027 recruiting class, so this is a big need for Shane Beamer to fill. According to his 247Sports page, last season he had 62 total tackles with 14 pass breakups, three interceptions, two of which he returned for a touchdown.
It's not clear if Millington has a hard commitment date set, but it will likely come shortly after his last official visits.
