As summer months are heating up, the South Carolina Gamecocks are getting hot on the recruiting trail. In recent weeks, the Gamecocks have landed verbal commitments from four-star receiver Javien Robinson and four-star running back Brayden Tyson.

Over the weekend, South Carolina also locked in an official visit with 4-star wide receiver Chuck "Chuck" Alexander. On Saturday, the Cincinnati, Ohio native announced he was taking three official visits in the upcoming months, including with the Gamecocks on June 19, Wisconsin on June 12 and to Louisville on June 29.

Alexander is a flip target for South Carolina, as the receiver has been verbally committed to Louisville since November of 2025. As of right now, it appears as those are the only visits Alexander has lined up. He also holds offers from Iowa State, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Wisconsin and Indiana among several others.

South Carolina's 2028 recruiting class features receivers in the aforementioned Robinson, as well as three-star receiver DJ Huggins from Georgia. It also has tight end Judah Lancaster from Tennessee, who committed to South Carolina earlier this month.

We'll see if Robinson comes away from his visit to Columbia impressed enough to flip to the Gamecocks.  South Carolina's 2027 class ranks 29th nationally, and with Alexander's commitment it could make its way into the Top-25 or Top-20.
