The South Carolina Gamecocks will be starting the Kevin Schnall era beginning in 2026. South Carolina hired the former Coastal Carolina coach this offseason, and the Gamecocks are expected to be a contender inside the SEC during Schnall's first season.
And just five months before the season is set to begin, the SEC has officially revealed the Gamecocks' conference schedule for the upcoming season. The SEC revealed its 2026-27 conference baseball schedule, and South Carolina gets a mix of big home-stand opportunities with big road tests.
Among the biggest will be the season conference finale, which will feature a three-game series on the road against Oklahoma. The Gamecocks will play in a Thursday-Saturday series in Norman on May 20-22, which will wrap up South Carolina's SEC play.
The Gamecocks also have to go on the road to play CWS teams from last year in Texas on March 25-27, Alabama on April 16-18, and Ole Miss on April 9-11, as well as Oklahoma on May 20-22. South Carolina will host the likes of Vanderbilt to open SEC play on March 19-21, Florida on April 2-4, as well as Texas A&M on April 30-May 2.

Following the conclusion of the SEC regular season, the SEC Tournament will take place in Hoover, Ala. from May 25-30. From there, the Gamecocks will hope to play in or host a regional tournament. The Gamecocks have not made the postseason since 2024, so they'll be looking to change that in Schnall's first season.
South Carolina also added in its official release that the Gamecocks' non-conference schedule will be released at a later date. The Gamecocks will have four fall scrimmages in October and November. The Gamecocks will be looking to drastically improve from last season, which saw South Carolina go 7-23 in conference play, and 22-35 overall.
Schnall put together a star-studded roster this offseason. His 2026-27 squad will include transfer portal stars Bristol Carter from Auburn and Conner Shouse, as well as returning starters Tyler Bak and Cooper Parks.
