The South Carolina Gamecock baseball program is starting a new era this upcoming season with the new hire of Kevin Schnall. And Gamecock fans looking to have a first look at the new South Carolina team will have four chances to do so this fall.

The Gamecock baseball program announced that Coach Schnall and his team will play in four exhibition games this fall. All four of them will take place within the state of South Carolina.

The Gamecocks' first exhibition will come on Friday, Oct. 9 against High Point. The game will be hosted at South Carolina's home stadium, Founder's Park. On Friday, Oct. 16, the Gamecocks will take on the College of Charleston, which will be held at Segra Park in Columbia.

South Carolina then returns home to Founder's Park to take on Winthrop on Friday, Oct. 23. The fourth and final fall scrimmage for the Gamecocks will be on Sunday, Nov. 1 against the Duke Blue Devils. The last fall scrimmage for the Gamecocks will take place at Fifth Third Park in Spartanburg, S.C.

According to South Carolina's official release, the two games scheduled for Founder's Park for Oct. 9 and Oct. 23 will be free to the public. Tickets for the game against College of Charleston on the 16th will be available for purchase on Friday, Aug. 28 at 10 a.m. Ticketing info for the final fall scrimmage against Duke will be announced "over the next couple of weeks," per the school.

The expectations for Schnall and the Gamecocks are high even as he enters his first season in Columbia. After spending the last two seasons as the head coach at Coastal Carolina, he compiled a 93-36 overall record with the Chanticleers. He also led Coastal to a CWS Final in 2025, and was on-staff there as an assistant when Coastal won its first CWS title in 2016.

South Carolina also compiled an elite roster this offseason, as Schnall utilized the transfer portal to land the likes of Conner Shouse from Texas Tech, Bristol Carter from Auburn, Wake Forest stars Andrew and Luke Costello and JD Stein, as well as Coastal pitchers Colby Richardson, Luke Jones and Dominick Carbone.
