Two highly touted South Carolina football targets announced Monday night commitments

June has been a big month for South Carolina football recruiting news, and that news has come in fast and furious at times. That trend continued during the afternoon and evening hours of Monday, June 24th as four major targets made their college decisions.
The Gamecocks didn't land the commitment of offensive lineman Dontrell Glover as the big fella from the Peach State picked the home-state Georgia Bulldogs.
Then, Carolina flipped Wake Forest quarterback commitment Cutter Woods, securing their QB of the class of 2025 and keeping a talented South Carolina native in the state.
As the day wore on, two other big-time South Carolina football targets announced their college decisions on social media. Unfortunately for USC, neither decided to pick the Gamecocks.
First, big 4-star defensive tackle Kevin Wynn made his commitment public. Deciding between South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida State, Wynn picked the Florida State Seminoles.
Not much later in the day, 5-star EDGE Isaiah Gibson, who was deciding between the South Carolina Gamecocks, Georgia Bulldogs, and Tennessee Volunteers, revealed his commitment to Kirby Smart's team.
The Gamecocks went 1/4 on the day, but picking up Woods is a big deal for the team's quarterback position room. Even so, missing out on the three trenches players doesn't feel good.
South Carolina football coach Shane Beamer and his coaching staff will have a chance at some redemption on Tuesday. Athletic EDGE prospect Taeshawn Alston is set to announce his college decision at 6:00 PM ET at his high school football field at Vance County High School. He is deciding between the South Carolina Gamecocks, North Carolina Tar Heels, and Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
Several other Gamecock targets have announced decision dates for sometime in June or July, so by the time fall camp begins for Carolina, the 2025 recruiting class could look drastically different.
