South Carolina football is hot on the recruiting trail right now.

In the last week, the Gamecocks have secured commitments from 4-star wide receiver Brian Rowe, 4-star EDGE Anthony Addison, and in-state safety Damarcus Leach. Shane Beamer has also announced another commitment, but the mystery pledge has not yet come forward to reveal his identity.

Two major targets, 4-star safety Kendall Daniels, Jr. and 4-star quarterback Ryan Montgomery, are set to announce in the next week, as well. Daniels appears set to pick USC.

There are several big-time offensive linemen whom the Gamecocks are pursuing in the 2025 class, though none have committed so far. One of the top targets in the cycle is in-state recruit Shed Sarratt who plays for the Gaffney Indians. Sarratt has flown under the radar for some, but that could be changing.

The latest recruiting rankings update from On3 saw Sarratt's rating go way up. He now is in the top-200 nationally according to the outlet, and he is firmly a 4-star prospect.

The ratings bump is well-deserved for Sarratt. The big fella has some really nice traits that should translate well to the college game. Sarratt is aggressive, and his first step is quick, both in run blocking situations and in pass protection sets.

He is a menace as a road-grading run blocker, and he has shown some decent footwork in the passing game. His strength is on full display on film as he does not get beaten if he gets his hands on his defender.

Though he has spent most of his high school career as a tackle, a move inside to guard or center is likely for Sarratt. Listed at 6'3", he doesn't have prototypical tackle length, but his impressive strength and first-step quickness could help shape him into a really good interior player in the future.

You can watch some of his film here.
