South Carolina basketball legend A'ja Wilson is the best player in the world, and the two-time WNBA MVP continues to prove it night in and night out on the court. She routinely dominates against even the best competition, and it feels like she makes basketball history almost every time out on the floor.
On Wednesday night, the Las Vegas Aces superstar broke another WNBA record. Wilson recorded her fifth straight game with a 20-point, 10-rebound performance with 29 points and 15 rebounds in the Aces' win over the Minnesota Lynx. She also added 4 blocks, 3 assists, and 2 steals.
You can watch some of her highlights from the game below.
In the game, Wilson dominated fellow MVP candidate Napheesa Collier, holding the Lynx star to 6/16 shooting and playing a big role in fouling her out of the game.
On the year, Wilson is averaging 26 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks, and 1 steal. A third MVP is firmly in A'ja Wilson's view, and if she plays at a high enough level to bring home that trophy again, her Aces squad will be in a good position to win a third-straight WNBA Championship.
So far, the Aces have played five games, and Wilson has dominated in all five, including three games with at least 29 points and 13 rebounds. As the best defensive anchor in the game, as well, Wilson has led the Aces to hold their opponents below 90 points in every game so far, and Vegas is surrendering less than 80 points per game.
For those who haven't been paying attention, Wilson recently announced that she is (finally) getting her own signature shoe from Nike. The "A'One" is set to be released in 2025 and is sure to be a top-selling shoe on the market when it drops.
