South Carolina basketball legend A'ja Wilson has been a hot topic of conversation recently due to the fact that she did not have her own signature shoe. The WNBA's top player was left without a major shoe deal despite several other players in the league having shoes of their own.

Finally, though, an announcement came through on Saturday that changed everything.

Ahead of her Las Vegas Aces playing a preseason game against the Puerto Rican national team in front of her South Carolina basketball fanbase (an exhibition in which she had 27 points and 14 rebounds in just 22 minutes), Wilson revealed the news of her signature shoe by wearing a shirt that said, "Of course I have a shoe dot com." The text from the shirt, when typed out into a web browser, redirects to Nike's website home for the A'One signature shoe.

In light of all the criticism that came Nike's way after Caitlin Clark had her shoe deal announced before Wilson's, the website provided fans with a reassuring message that Wilson's shoe was in the works for a long time:

"You thought we'd sleep on an SEC champion, national champion, #1 draft pick, five-time All-Star, US Olympic gold winner, WNBA Finals MVP, a statue-having, New York Times Best Seller, TIME 100 Most Influential People in 2024, two-time WNBA champion, two-time Defensive Player of the Year, two-time WNBA MVP, and pettiest hooper on the internet? You thought. Of course, A'ja's got a shoe. A'One A'rriving 2025."

Wilson is expected to be receiving additional merchandise deals as part of her new signature deal with Nike. Shoes will not be the only thing fans can buy. According to a report from ESPN's Alexa Philippou, the contract has been in the works for over a year.

This summer, A'ja Wilson will be the frontrunner for MVP and will lead her Las Vegas Aces squad in search of the WNBA's first three-peat since the Houston Comets in the late 90s.
