South Carolina's LaNorris Sellers is officially on the NFL radar. Ahead of his redshirt sophomore season as a Gamecock, he is creating national buzz as one of the most intriguing QB prospects for the 2026 NFL Draft. NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah, a well-respected draft analyst and former NFL scout, recently released a scouting breakdown that featured high praise and expectations for Sellers.

Jeremiah was "blown away" by several key aspects of Sellers' campaign last year. He even compared Sellers to former Pro Bowl quarterback Daunte Culpepper, with shades of Josh Allen and Ben Roethlisberger added in. “Before he suffered injuries at the pro level, Culpepper was an outstanding athlete with the frame/build of an outside linebacker,” Jeremiah wrote. “He could function in the pure drop-back game, but if pressured, he could buy time or take off and generate explosive plays. There wasn’t any panic in his game and he was very difficult to get on the ground.”

Jeremiah also noted that while Sellers thrives in the open field and has the ability to absorb contact with his exceptional lower-body strength, he still has plenty of room to grow as a passer in the pocket. He expressed one area of concern is that Sellers can sometimes abandon progressions too quickly if his first read option is not available. But Sellers' overall evaluation by Jeremiah is positive. “There’s a calmness and physicality to his game that stands out,” Jeremiah added. “Sellers still has some development ahead of him, but it’s easy to see why NFL evaluators are already buzzing about his potential at the next level.”

That potential is garnering attention at the national level ahead of a potential defining season for both Sellers and the South Carolina Gamecocks football program. As QB1, Sellers enters the 2025 season with all the tools needed to elevate him to the next level.
