The WNBA Playoffs have arrived, and things get heated in the postseason. During Game 2 of the Las Vegas Aces-Indiana Fever first round series, the Fever earned a 99-89 victory to even the series at one-a piece.
Aces star and former South Carolina Gamecock player A'ja Wilson finished with 22 points and nine rebounds in the loss, second on the team behind Jackie Young, who had 31.
But in the fourth quarter, the game was somewhat overshadowed by an incident between Wilson and a Fever fan. Wilson, who is the reigning MVP, got called for a foul after she got tangled up with Indiana guard Sophie Cunningham.
After the four was called, Wilson and the fan were seen pointing and yelling at each other, with her Aces teammate, an assistant coach and security official trying to intervene. Wilson was given a technical foul because she left the court to confront the fan.

The fan was escorted out from his seat court side, but was allowed to remain in the stadium since he did not violate fan code of conduct, per the Fever. After the game, Aces head coach Becky Hammon said she did not see what initially happened, but saw the chaos that ensued after.
“I didn't exactly see what happened, I kind of saw the aftermath,” Hammon said after the game. “I've never A'ja Wilson go like that so whatever was done I can tell you she felt very disrespected in that moment. I've never seen her really react like that ever, so whatever it was, it doesn't have any place, I don't think in an arena.”

Wilson after the game said that she saw the man pointing at her and taking steps toward her after the foul, calling it "unacceptable:"

Caitlin Clark led the Fever offensively with 27 points and seven rebounds with 15 assists. Las Vegas' Jackie Young finished with 31 points.
Now that the series is even at one game a-piece, it's a winner-take-all Game 3. That game is set for Thursday night at 9 p.m. ET, and the game will air live on USA Network and CNBC.
There is a chance that the WNBA disciplines Wilson further, but it's unclear if the league will take those steps at this time,
