The South Carolina Gamecocks women's basketball program is preparing for the upcoming 2026-27 season, With the season nearly just a couple of short months away, we are also starting to get some tip-off times and television networks come out for some of South Carolina's early-season games.
One of those is South Carolina's non-conference game against the USC Trojans, set for Sunday, Nov. 15. The team announced that the game will tip off at 1 p.m. ET, and it will air live on ABC:

South Carolina and the Trojans have become quite familiar with one another in recent years. The two teams played each other twice last season, both in the regular season and during the NCAA Tournament. South Carolina won both meetings, beating the Trojans 69-52 last November, and then winning 101-61 in the second round of the tournament. The Trojans had earned a No. 9 seed in last year's tournament.
USC will once again be led by head coach Lindsay Gottlieb, who has been the head coach of the team since 2021. Overall, she has a 49-18 record as USC's head coach. The matchup is unique for both schools, as it has been dubbed a battle of "The Real SC," since both schools are referred to as USC. The Trojans will once again be led by star JuJu Watkins, who is entering her senior season with the Trojans.
The game will be one of several non-conference matchups the Gamecocks will play in the first couple weeks of the season. South Carolina is set to take on Maryland on Nov. 2 in Paris, which will serve as the official season opener. The Gamecocks will then take on North Carolina on Nov. 8 in Charlotte, N.C. A few days before South Carolina takes on USC, the Gamecocks will travel to take on in-state foe Clemson.
South Carolina got to get some much-needed game experience on Sunday, as the Gamecocks won 91-60 over College of Charleston, part of the LinkU outdoor invitational.
Who knows, this November matchup could once again be one we see in the postseasn during the NCAA Tournament, just like we did last season.
