The WNBA postseason is finally here. The league's regular season wrapped up earlier this week, and several teams across the W punched their tickets to the postseason.
In the WNBA, eight lucky teams get to make the postseason. That includes several different teams that have former Gamecocks, such as the Las Vegas Aces, Indiana Fever, Atlanta Dream and more. Here's everything you need to know about how to tune into all the former South Carolina players in action this postseason.
Gamecocks to watch in the first round of the WNBA playoffs
No. 2 Golden State Valkyries vs. No. 7 Dallas Wings
Former Gamecock Laeticia Amihere and the Golden State Valkyries earned the No. 2 seed in just their second season in the league, one of two expansion teams from last season. The Valkyries drew the Dallas Wings, led by superstar rookie Paige Bueckers, who is averaging 20.9 points per game.
Amihere is averaging 3.9 points per game with three rebounds and one assist per game. The best-of-three series tips off at Golden State on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 9 p.m., airing live on USA Network and CNBC, Game two in Dallas is set for Weds., Sept. 30 at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN. The third game of the series will be Friday, Oct. 2.
No. 3 Las Vegas Aces vs. No. 6 Indiana Fever
We're in for a treat in this one, as A'ja Wilson and the reigning WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces take on Aliyah Boston, Tyasha Harris and rookie Raven Johnson and the Indiana Fever.
Wilson has been having one of the best seasons of her WNBA career, averaging 26.2 points per game with 9.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.4 steals per game. She's the favorite to win her fifth MVP this season, and helped lead the Aces to a 31-13 record this season.
Her team has a tough task ahead of it, taking on the likes of Caitlin Clark and Boston, who is averaging 16.1 points per game with eight rebounds and three assists per game. She missed the second half of Fever's season finale against Minnesota with a flare-up of an existing leg injury, but she should be good to go for the postseason.
Game one at Las Vegas is set for Sunday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m. ET, and will air live on ABC. Game two at Indiana will be at 6:30 p.m. on Prime Video, with Game three set for Thursday, Oct. 1
Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson etches her name in the history books once again
No. 4 Atlanta Dream vs. No. 5 Washington Mystics
The Dream has three former Gamecocks, including Allisha Gray, guard Te-Hina Paopao and rookie Madina Okot. Atlanta is taking on the Washington Mystics, who are in the postseason for the first time since 2023.
This is the fourth-straight postseason for the Dream. Gray leads Atlanta with 19 points per game, 3.5 boards and 2.6 assists per game. PaoPao is adding 3.7 points per game, and Okot has proved productive as a rookie. She's played in 42 games this season, getting 5.4 points per game with 3.3 rebounds a game.
Game one in Atlanta is set for Sunday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. on Prime Video, with Game two coming Wed., Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. on ESPN. If the series goes to a third game, that will be on Friday, Oct. 2.
