9. Sindarius Thornwell Has a Career Night Against Alabama

Around the middle of SEC play the Gamecocks went to four overtimes with the Crimson Tide. Despite losing this game, it is really when we first saw Sindarius Thornwell for the All American he was. Thornwell went for 44 points and 21 rebounds in his historic night. Part of that 44 points was on 25 made free throws, which broke Pete Maravich’s record for most made free throws in an SEC game.
