8. The Gamecocks Make the NCAA Tournament and Defeat Marquette in the 1st Round

Despite struggling down the stretch, South Carolina made the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2004. The 7-seeded Gamecocks defeated 10-seeded Marquette by dominating the last 10 minutes of the game. This was their first win in the NCAA tournament since 1973.

If at the beginning of the season you would have told me the Gamecocks winning an NCAA Tournament game was only the 8th biggest moment of the season, I would have called you crazy, but this team had much more in store for us.
