South Carolina is on a roll and back in the rankings for the first time since the beginning of the season. The last time South Carolina was in the ranking, they suffered a tough loss to LSU that essentially knocked them out and gave the Gamecocks their first loss of the season. Since then, USC has lost two more times, once to Ole Miss, truly the only bad game this season for South Carolina, and once to Alabama, where they came one pass away from having a huge comeback win.

Since that loss to Alabama, South Carolina has gone 3-0 with two wins over ranked opponents, one being against No. 10 Texas A&M, a team that had had their way with teams, and the other over Vanderbilt, a surprising team in college football this season.

The Gamecocks have a chance to win their fourth straight game and get their third win over a ranked opponent today as they take on No. 23 Missouri at home in Williams-Brice Stadium. The defense will be key as the Tigers will be without starting quarterback Brady Cook today, but make no mistake, Drew Pyne is no slouch and could still find ways to hurt South Carolina.
