Massive and surprising loss for SC and Dawn Staley and explains why the gamecocks will be very aggressive in the portal. More news soon pic.twitter.com/n39tI9Exll
Fulwiley's sophomore season came to an end when South Carolina fell to UConn in the National Championship game. She contributed nine points in the 18 minutes she played off the bench. Fulwiley still has two years of eligibility left.
Head coach Dawn Staley describes Fulwiley as "generational talent," as she has made a major impact in her two seasons as a Gamecock. She played in 76 games and helped lead South Carolina to a natinal title as a freshman. This past season, Fulwiley was named the SEC's Sixth Woman of the Year after averaging 11.8 points per game, second most on the team.
Fulwiley was a five-star recruit and the No. 13 overall prospect in the Class of 2023. She starred on the court locally at Keenen High School in Columbia before committing to South Carolina.
