The South Carolina Gamecocks look to improve to 2-0 on the season, set to take on the Towson Tigers at home on Saturday night. Last week, South Carolina got off to a great start, winning 57-0 against Kent State at home.

Towson vs. South Carolina: Final odds and a prediction for Gamecocks in Week 2
On the call will be Richard Cross on play-by-play, with former Louisville and Texas head coach Charlie Strong as the analyst. The Gamecocks are favored by over 40 points, so it's expected to be another high-scoring affair in Columbia under the lights.
"Towson this week, certainly have our respect," Shane Beamer said via Gamecocks247 leading up to the game. "Coach Shinnick has done an amazing job wherever he's coached. If you look at his career, he's been a head football coach for a long time and has won a lot of football games at multiple schools. He was a head football coach my freshman year of college, so he's been doing it for a long time. … But a lot of respect for him and the way that he runs his program."
As fas as injuries are concerned, South Carolina will once against be without starrs Jacarrius Peak and Dylan Stewart once again. But Coach Beamer was optimistic about both guys this week, saying they are practicing in full pads. The Gamecocks will also be without defensive back Jalewis Solomon, who got banged up in practice this week.
Towson enters this contest 0-2, coming off of losses to Maine in Week Zero and a 42-15 loss to Navy last week. After the Towson game, South Carolina will open SEC conference play against the Mississippi State Bulldogs at home.
