The South Carolina Gamecocks are looking to improve to 2-0 this week, set to take on the Towson Tigers at home at 7 p.m. ET. Following a 57-0 win over Kent State in the opener, Gamecock fans are hungry to see an even better performance.
As South Carolina gets set to take on the Tigers under the lights, let's take a look at the final odds, as well as give a prediction.
South Carolina listed as huge favorites over Towson
The Las Vegas oddsmakers like South Carolina even more so than they did last week, as the Gators were favored by over 30 points. Here's a look at South Carolina's odds for Saturday:

As you can see, Vegas thinks South Carolina will have a huge day. It's not all that surprising, given that Towson is 0-2 on the season, having lost to Maine and Navy to open the season. Saturday's game is the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
Final score prediction: South Carolina 48, Towson 3
I think South Carolina will have another huge day, led by big offensive performances from LaNorris Sellers, Matt Fuller, Jabree Coleman and company. But I think this will be a much better day for the Gamecock defense, as well. Towson has allowed a whopping eight sacks across its last two games, and that's good news for Julian Walker and Caleb Herring on the line.
Offensively, I think we'll see a lot more from running backs Matt Fuller and Jabree Coleman. Towson's rush defense was quite suspect against Navy, giving up a whopping 506 yards on the ground. That's great news for both Coleman and Fuller, who had 151 yards last week against Kent State.
I do think we can also see a bit more from Sellers in the designed run game, as well. Navy quarterback Braxton Woodson rushed for 200 yards and three touchdowns last week against the Tigers.
While Navy obviously runs more of a triple-option scheme and runs their quarterback a lot more than South Carolina does. But Sellers can have at least a few opportunities to open up the quarterback running game.
Lastly, this should be a fantastic atmosphere in Williams-Brice Stadium under the lights. It's the first night kickoff in the stadium, and South Carolina has already announced it has sold out the stadium once again.
Saturday night's win for the Gamecocks should be a big night for this South Carolina team before it opens SEC play. Next week, Mississippi State and the Bulldogs come to town, and it'll be just as important for the Gamecocks to play as well as it has in the last two weeks.
It should be a fun night for South Carolina fans, who should watch their team get another big home win.
