Zyon Guiles, a four-star offensive lineman from Carvers Bay High School in Hemingway, South Carolina, has moved his commitment timeline up and will now announce his college decision on March 21, 2025. Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 280 pounds, Guiles is ranked as the No. 3 interior offensive linemean in the 2026 class by On3.
His final list of colleges includes Clemson, South Carolina, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida State, and Georgia. He was originally planning on taking several official visits over the summer but has opted to speed up the commitment process.
HIs high school coach, Matthew Richard, has had a front seat to the growth in Guiles over the past year, saying, "The recruiting process for Zyon from this point last year until now is night and day. Last year, he was still little known. He took that as motivation. He hit the weight room; he dedicated himself to his craft even more. He's still the same hungry kid, still wants to prove himself."
Guiles' recruitment picked up momentum last summer when both South Carolina and Clemson extended offers on the same day. He has frequently visited South Carolina's campus and has established a strong rapport with the Coach Beamer and the coaching staff.
Guiles noted, "It's not too far from where I live, so that's one big plus for me. I like Shane Beamer. He has a side of humor; not a lot of coaches have that outside of football. You can joke around with him, with (Lonnie) Teasley, joke around with the staff—it's just, it's really fun. They're family over there for sure."
As the March 21 commitment decision date approaches, the finalist programs await Guiles' announcement, which will undoubtedly impact their respective recruiting classes.
