The South Carolina Gamecocks are looking to improve to 4-3 on the season this week. To do so, head coach Shane Beamer's team will have to knock off the No. 11 Tennessee Volunteers at home. With a victory, Coach Beamer would get his ninth Top-25 victory, and just the third time in his career notching back-to-back wins over ranked opponents.
Two weeks ago, South Carolina shocked the then-No. 16 Florida Gators, winning 38-19 on the road. Let's take a look at the final odds and give a prediction for Saturday afternoon's matchup. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET, set to air on ESPN.

Prediction South Carolina 23, Tennessee 20
I like South Carolina at home in this one. I think this will come down to the Gamecocks' run defense, which ranks 23rd in the nation, allowing just 103.67 yards on the ground per game.
Obviously Tennessee, led by star running back DeSean Bishop, is one of the most productive units on the ground. The Vols rank 17th nationally in rushing offense, putting 217 yards on the ground per contest.
How South Carolina game get an upset over No. 11 Tennessee on Saturday
I think South Carolina's defense is able to effectively shut down Bishop, which will force Tennessee to rely on its passing game. That's great news for the Gamecock defense, as Vol quarterback George MacIntyre hasn't done a ton in the air the last couple weeks.
Although Tennessee got the win against Alabama last week, MacIntyre threw for just 197 yards with an interception. Against Arkansas two weeks ago, he threw for 247 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions.
Even if Tennessee turns to true freshman Faizon Brandon, he hasn't played since Oct. 3. His last game out, he completed three passes for zero yards and two interceptions.
While Tennessee has done a great job winning games by running the football effectively, I think South Carolina's run defense is one of the best the Vols have faced so far this season. It's hard to win football games when you can't be efficient on offense, and I like the Gamecocks in this one.
I also like LaNorris Sellers and this South Carolina offense to do well against the Vols. The Gamecocks were quite balanced against Florida two weeks ago. While Tennessee does rank eighth nationally in passing defense, I think LaNorris Sellers can find windows to make plays downfield. The run game with Jabree Coleman, Matt Fuller and Sellers should have a good day against Tennessee's run defense that gives up 121 on the ground per game.
A win for South Carolina would mark the first top-25 win in Williams-Brice since the Gamecocks' 34-30 win against Missouri in 2024. I like the Gamecocks to get another signature win for Coach Beamer on Saturday.
