The South Carolina Gamecocks softball team finished their regular season with a 4-3 loss to No. 4 Alabama on Saturday. But the Gamecocks' season is not over, as the SEC's softball tournament begins on Tuesday.

Let's take a look at the Gamecocks' path for the 2026 SEC Tournament, who they will face in the first round and more.

South Carolina Game 1 Details

The Gamecocks earned a No. 12 seed in the tournament, and will play No. 13 Ole Miss in the first round. The two teams last played in 2025, and South Carolina took two games in the series during the regular season.

South Carolina SEC Tournament Path

If South Carolina gets past Ole Miss, the Gamecocks would move on to face No. 5 Tennessee. The Gamecocks lost the three-game series two games to one in early April.

If the Gamecocks knock off the Vols, waiting in the wings is No. 4 Texas, which swept South Carolina in three games in early March. South Carolina would then face the winner of the tournament's Game 11, which seems likely to be No. 1 Oklahoma in the semifinals. The Gamecocks would play whichever team emerges from the other side of the bracket in the championship.

Full 2026 SEC Tournament Bracket

Here's a look at the full bracket from Lexington. The Oklahoma Sooners earned the No. 1 seed, and earned byes for the first two rounds. Alabama earned the No. 2 seed, with Florida getting the No. 3, Texas No. 4 and Tennessee as the No. 5 seed.

The tournament is single elimination, with seeding based on regular season records.
