The South Carolina Gamecocks are taking on the Oklahoma Sooners on the road, as Shane Beamer's team is looking for a third straight win. In the first half, starting Gamecock running back Matt Fuller left the game with an apparent ankle or foot injury.

After a second-down rushing attempt in the first half, he was down on the field as trainers came and looked at his lower ankle or foot. He was able to walk off the field himself, but it looked like he was nursing an injury.

He went into the injury tent and was seen on the sidelines trying to test out his ankle before going back into the tent:

During the game, both Coach Beamer told the SEC Network broadcast crew that Fuller was going to the locker room to get an X-ray on his ankle.

That's scary a bit, as it could mean that the staff wants to confirm the injury is or is not season-ending.

Hopefully the season is not the worst-case scenario for Fuller, as he is South Carolina's leading rusher. Entering the game against Oklahoma, Fuller had 90 carries for 513 yards and five touchdowns, which also leads the team. Against the Sooners he already had four carries for 17 yards.

In his absence, South Carolina is likely to lean more heavily on backs Jabree Coleman and Christian Clark. Clark was able to score a one-year rushing touchdown in the second quarter to make it a 14-7 game.

South Carolina was already down a running back against the Sooners, as Jawarn Howell was ruled out before the game as he is dealing with a shoulder injury.

During the game late in the third quarter, SEC Network sideline reporter Michella Chester that Fuller was out for the remainder of the game with an ankle injury.

Hopefully Fuller's injury isn't anything serious and he can either be out for the remainder of the game or just short-term.
