The South Carolina Gamecocks advance to the Final Four after a nail-biter 54-50 victory over the Duke Blue Devils in the Elite 8 of the NCAA Women's Championship. The game, played at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama, improved the Gamecocks improve their record to 34-3.

Leading the team for South Carolina was Chloe Kitts who racked up 14 points while also grabbing four rebounds. Te-Hina Paopao added nine points, shooting 3-of-5 from the field. Raven Johnson contributed seven points, five rebounds, and one assist. Sania Feagin finished with 12 points and eight rebounds. Off the bench, Joyce Edwards contributed four points and two rebounds, going 2-of-7. MiLaysia Fulwiley added five points and two rebounds.
As a team, South Carolina shot 43.2% from the field (19-of-44) and connected 37.5% of their three-point attempts. the dominated the boards with a total of 30 rebounds and seven assists. The depth of the roster played a huge role in maintaining the momentum throughout the game, even when the score was close.

Duke gave the Gamecocks a run for their money during the entire game but ultimately fell short. The Gamecocks maintained their composure and defensive pressure to secure the win in the end. South Carolina will now look ahead to their next challenge in the Final Four, continuing their pursuit for another national championship.
