The South Carolina Gamecocks may have lost the last two games in SEC play on the football field. But the fanbase has not lost interest, and is still very much energized. Ahead of the Gamecocks' Week 5 matchup against the No. 24 Kentucky Wildcats, South Carolina announced that Williams-Brice has been sold out for a 20th consecutive time.
According to the school, that's the most sellouts in program history:
The longest streak in program history.

When Williams-Brice is at its capacity of over 77,000 fans, there aren't too many places in the country like it. Kentucky has proved it can play well in tough road environments, however.
The Wildcats went into College Station two weeks ago and upset the then-No. 9 Aggies 31-21. Kentucky also beat Youngstown State and South Alabama this season, falling 45-17 to Alabama in Week 2, although Kentucky led that game at halftime. A win for UK would give head coach Will Stein a 2-1 start in the SEC during his first season as head coach in Lexington.
Shane Beamer has talked this week about feeding off of the home crowd against the Wildcats.
"I know Coach (Will) Stein, in his press conference earlier today, talked about this venue and how it’s one of the greatest venues in the SEC," Beamer said via Gamecock Central. "Well, we certainly need to prove him right and be that on Saturday. And I get it. There’s going to be people in that stadium that are pissed at me and don’t like me, and I don’t like a lot of things about the job that I’ve done right now either. But what we need on Saturday is for 80,000 strong to come together for three hours and help our football team play their butts off because we need that energy in that stadium. We feed off that energy.
South Carolina will get a much-needed return home after a disappointing road loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide, a 49-18 result. The Gamecocks are slight home favorites against the Kentucky Wildcats, despite South Carolina losing the last two straight SEC games.
Historically, South Carolina has done well against the Wildcats. In fact, the Gamecocks have won the last four straight against Kentucky under Shane Beamer, dating back to 2022. South Carolina is also looking to snap an SEC losing streak.
A win for the Gamecocks would give South Carolina their first conference victory in seven games, dating back to last year's game vs. Kentucky. South Carolina's 35-13 win on Sep. 25 over the Wildcats last season was the Gamecocks' last SEC victory.
A South Carolina victory would also give Coach Beamer his eighth career victory over a top-25 team, and the first for the Gamecocks since beating Clemson in 2024.
One other thing to monitor is the weather, which is calling for a strong chance of rain and possible thunderstorms. If that's the case, Gamecocks fans are likely recommended to arrive early inside the stadium in case of any delays.
Saturday afternoon's game will kick off at 4:15 p.m. ET, and air live on SEC Network.
