The preseason awards for South Carolina Gamecocks star EDGE rusher Dylan Stewart continue to roll in. On Tuesday, the Gamecocks rising junior was named to the Walter Camp first-team All-American preseason team.Â
The Gamecocks pass-rusher is entering his third season at South Carolina. Across his two seasons in Columbia, he has accounted for 56 career tackles with 22.5 for loss, including 11 career sacks. Although he played with a back injury last season that limited him during South Carolina's spring practices, he is expected to be ready full-go in time for the Gamecocks' fall preseason camp. Stewart is the lone Gamecocks to make the squad.

As a junior in 2026, he will be eligible for the 2027 NFL Draft. Several mock drafts have already placed him going very high in the first round, with most predictions seeing him being taken the top-10 of the first round. One outlet this offseason even ranked him as the second-best EDGE rusher in the country. Â
The Walter Camp All-American team has been around since 1889, and is considered a prestigious honor to be named to the team. Stewart has been named to several preseason watch lists, making the Athlon All-American team as a second teamer, a first-team Athlon All-SEC team member, and being named to Phil Steele's first-team All-SEC team.Â
South Carolina is expected to begin fall camp on Aug. 6, and Stewart is expected to be a full participant.Â
Congrats to Stewart on being named a preseason All-American by Walter Camp!Â
