South Carolina baseball & softball remain undefeated: Dominant start to 2025 season

The South Carolina Gamecocks baseball and softball teams are off to a perfect start in 2025, both remaining undefeated. See how their dominant performances on the mound and at the plate have set the tone for a promising season.

As of February 24, 2025, both the University of South Carolina’s baseball and softball teams are enjoying undefeated seasons.

Baseball Team:

The Gamecocks baseball team has achieved an 8-0 record. Their recent performances include midweek victories over Winthrop (5-3) and Queens (7-2), followed by a three-game sweep against Milwaukee. In the series finale against Milwaukee, South Carolina secured a decisive 14-4 win, concluding the game in eight innings.  

Softball Team:

The Gamecocks softball team boasts a perfect 15-0 record, marking the best start in the program’s history. Notably, they have achieved 10 run-rule victories this season, with six of them ending in walk-off fashion. In a recent game, South Carolina overcame an early 4-0 deficit to defeat UNLV 9-4, demonstrating resilience and offensive strength.  

Both teams are showcasing exceptional performances, generating excitement among fans and setting high expectations for the remainder of their seasons.
