The South Carolina Gamecocks saw three players get drafted last weekend, with cornerback Brandon Cisse going in the second round to the Green Bay Packers and Nick Barrett going to the Los Angeles Chargers and safety Jalon Kilgore going to the Buffalo Bills, both in the fifth round.Â
Now, all three guys know when their respective rookie minicamps will begin, as the league released the start dates for all 32 teams. Here's a look at when all three guys will report to their minicamps, as well as dates for offseason OTA workouts and mandatory minicamps
Green Bay PackersÂ
- First Day: April 20
- Rookie Minicamp: May 1-2
- OTA Offseason Workouts: May 26-27, May 29, June 1-2, June 4, June 15-16, June 18
- Mandatory Minicamp: June 9-11
Los Angeles Chargers
- First Day: April 20
- Rookie Minicamp: TBA
- OTA Offseason Workouts: May 26-27, May 29, June 2-4, June 8-11
Buffalo Bills
- First Day: April 7 Voluntary Minicamp: April 20-22
- Rookie Minicamp: May 8-9
- OTA Offseason Workouts: May 18-19, May 21, May 26-28, June 1-4
- Mandatory Minicamp: June 9-11
In Green Bay, Cisse gets to learn from a talented defensive backs room that features starting cornerbacks Carrington Valentine and Keisan Nixon from last season, as well as talented safety Xavier McKinney. The defense also includes star EDGE rusher Micah Parsons.
Kilgore will join an elite defensive backs room that features cornerbacks Christian Benford, Davison Igbinosun, Dorian Strong as well as. Among the safeties Cole Bishop, Geno Stone and Damar Hamlin. While he likely won't start as a rookie, having a season or two learning the Bills' defense could make him a consistent starter in Buffalo in no time.
In Los Angeles, Barrett joins a Chargers defense that features star linebacker Khalil Mack, defensive end Justin Eboigbe, defensive tackle Jamaree Caldwell and veteran defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson, who signed over free agency.Â
He also joins a rookie draft class that includes big defensive names in EDGE rusher Akeem Mesidor out of Miami and safety Genesis Smith from Arizona.Â
