The latest South Carolina Gamecocks news, starting with some football recruiting news.

The Gamecocks had a big week in recruiting, landing 4 commitments to the class of 2025 and making some noise with some other prospects.

4-star wide receiver Brian Rowe was the first to come forward.

In-state safety Damarcus Leach was next.

4-star Palmetto State native Anthony Addison committed on Friday.

On Sunday, Shane Beamer dropped a #WelcomeHome, but the pledge has not yet revealed himself.

4-star safety Kendall Daniels (who is strongly considering the Gamecocks) announced he will commit on Sunday.

4-star offensive lineman Jaylen Gilchrist officially announced a top-7 list, and the Gamecocks (who are the perceived favorite) made the list, as expected.

A Carolina senior is leaving the program.

Reserve offensive lineman Jaxon Hughes is hitting the transfer portal.

Running back Rashad Amos, who transferred to Miami (OH) last offseason, is now headed to the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

ESPN's Mel Kiper released his updated 1st and 2nd round mock NFL Draft this week.

Xavier Legette was, once again, in Kiper's 1st round. In this projection, Kiper had him being selected by the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

Lamont Paris' South Carolina basketball squad finished the season with a nice honor.

For the first time, the AP released a postseason poll as their final poll (instead of the final poll coming before the NCAA Tournament begins), and the Gamecocks finished the season inside the top-25.

Lexington, South Carolina native, former 5-star, is being let out of his NLI with the Texas Longhorns.

Cam Scott, a 6'5" wing who called the Gamecocks "#2" in his recruitment when he committed to Texas, is no longer heading to Austin.

Gamecock point guard Ta'Lon Cooper will play in a pre-NBA Combine invitational.

Cooper will play in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament in front of NBA and international scouts.

Some major transfer portal targets for Lamont Paris' team picked other schools.

Guards Jordan Sears (LSU) and JP Pegues (Auburn) will be SEC players next season, but the Gamecocks will have to shift to other targets on their transfer portal recruiting board.

A Mount St. Mary's transfer guard announced the Gamecocks as a favorite.

Dakota Leffew, a 4-star transfer portal shooting guard, put South Carolina basketball in his top-6.

The national championship-winning South Carolina basketball women's team held their championship parade on Sunday.

Kamilla Cardoso, who will be drafted in the WNBA draft on Monday, stuck around in Columbia for the parade.

Thousands of fans were lining the streets and were packed in front of the state house to celebrate the Gamecocks.

Two incoming Gamecocks made another All-American squad.

Joyce Edwards and Maddy McDaniel were both named All-Americans by MaxPreps.

Speaking of Joyce Edwards...

Edwards was dominant in the Team USA vs. Team World showcase at the Nike Hoop Summit. She led both teams in scoring and rebounding (25 and 9), and he snagged 5 steals as she led Team USA in a 16-point comeback in the final 15 minutes of the game.

Mark Kingston's South Carolina baseball team bounced back a bit for a series win on the road against the Florida Gators.

Taking 2 of 3 from the Gators, the Gamecocks won game 1 10-3, won game 2 9-8, and lost the finale 11-9.

Before the Florida series, the YardCocks also beat the rival North Carolina Tar Heels 2-1 in Charlotte on Tuesday.

The Gamecocks should retun to the top-25 polls after the 3 wins last week.

There was an update on the status of the South Carolina-Clemson series.

With a game rained out earlier this year between the Palmetto State rivals, there was hope that a makeup game would be possible at Founders Park. However, a mutually-beneficial date could not be found, and the third game of the series officially has been canceled.

Former Gamecock Jordan Montgomery made a change in representation.

Montgomery fired superagent Scott Boras after Boras botched his and other stars' free agencies this offseason.

South Carolina softball had a tough week.

The Gamecocks lost a mid-week contest against the rival Clemson Tigers and then dropped 2 of 3 at home to the Arkansas Razorbacks over the weekend. They likely will fall out of the top-25.
