South Carolina football in-state target Shed Sarratt has seen his recruitment blow up a bit over the past six months. The Gaffney High School product has grown from a 3-star prospect into a 4-star recruit, and his offer list has grown considerably.

Back in November, Sarratt's only Power 5 scholarship offers were from the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Virginia Tech Hokies. Now, he has a long list of major offers that includes some of the top programs in the entire country.

On Friday, the big man from the Upstate of South Carolina revealed the top-6 schools vying for his commitment. The South Carolina Gamecocks, NC State Wolfpack, Florida State Seminoles, Tennessee Volunteers, Colorado Buffaloes, and Florida Gators are his six finalists, and one of those programs will earn his commitment when he announces his college choice in June.

Shed Sarratt is an offensive lineman who has played multiple spots up front during his high school career, but he likely will end up on the interior of the line when he gets to college.

Sarratt is a strong and aggressive blocker, traits that will turn him into an effective run blocker when he spends some time in a college weight room. He also can move around well, allowing him to get to the second level and/or work as a pull player.

The big man from Gaffney has a solid base that helps him anchor into place when necessary as a pass blocker, and after he has some time to develop the technique aspect of that part of his game, he could be a thorn in the side of defensive tackle pass rushers everywhere.

Carolina has long been considered the favorite to land Sarratt, but there are still three weeks remaining before he announces his college decision.
