South Carolina was the favorite among the ESPN College Gameday game picks to upset No. 12 Ole Miss.

Marshawn Lynch faked out the production crew for ESPN College Gameday by switching his original pick for Ole Miss out for South Carolina. The gameday crew was split 3-2 on who would win in the No. 12 Ole Miss vs. South Carolina, but to the delight of Gamecock fans, they were in favor of South Carolina pulling off the upset.

Desmond Howard started off the picks for this game going with the Rebels, saying he believes they will bounce back after the loss to Kentucky. However, former Alabama and SEC coach Nick Saban, new to the gameday desk this season, went with the Gamecocks for two reasons.

South Carolina has their starting quarterback, LaNorris Sellers back for today's matchup, and the USC crowd on the side of the Gamecocks. As a coach who played quite a few times in Columbia, Saban knows what it is like playing in Williams-Brice Stadium, and he believe the crowd noise will have an effect on the Rebels today.

Now, it seems like former Cal and NFL running back Marshawn Lynch was originally rolling with the Rebels, but when it came time to make his pick, he switched it up and went with the Gamecocks.

Probably ESPN College Gameday's most exciting host, Pat McAfee, went with the REbels. I believe Ole Miss will also get back on track this week after losing to Kentucky at home last week.

Finally, it was up to Kirk Herbstreit to break the tie, and he also believed that the crowd would be a big factor in this game in favor of South Carolina. He broke the tie indeed in favor of the Gamecocks going with the South Carolina upset over No. 12 Ole Miss.

No. 12 Ole Miss is a 9.5-point favor to win the game over South Carolina. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. EST in Williams-Brice Stadium.
