LaNorris Sellers is becoming a star right in front of our eyes and its being noticed
If there is one thing that has been proven this season, it is that quarterback LaNorris Sellers is a special player. The redshirt quarterback out of Florence, South Carolina, started a bit rocky this season with some problems protecting the football and an ankle injury that sidelined him for a game and a half.
Even with some early struggles, Sellers has grown into quite the football player, leading the Gamecocks to a six-game win streak to end the regular season and put South Carolina back in contention for the College Football Playoff.
Now, with the regular season open and the Heisman Trophy going to either Ashton Jeanty or Travis Hunter, fans are looking for who the next budding star is, and they have all zeroed in on LaNorris Sellers. Sellers amazed fans with his performance against Clemson with each broken tackle and touchdown that should have been a loss of yards.
Sellers is really coming up in college football as the next big star, and he still has at least one more game this season to showcase his talent, if not a few more, if the Gamecocks make it to the College Football Playoff and fans are ready for it.
LaNorris Sellers is better than Johnny Manziel and it doesn't matter who disagrees, just look at the tape.
If you listen closely, you can still hear him bouncing off Clemson defenders for yet another first down.
Is Sellers the new Patrick Mahomes of college football?
Sellers truly was a human wrecking ball against Clemson, and he did something only one other player in college football has done all season long.
Give the people what they want!
Honestly, if you are having a bad day, just pull up LaNorris Sellers highlights, and it should make your day instantly better.
The relationship between Sellers and Beamer seems like something special, just listen to how Beamer gushed about his quarterback after the win against Clemson. It doesn't seem like Sellers is going anywhere anytime soon and that is something Gamecock fans can be very excited about.
