The 2026 college football season might still be several months away entering the end of June and beginning of July. But for college football fans, July means a new EA College Football game. The 2027 game will be released on July 9, and the game has released player ratings for each player in the game. That means nearly every player that is on a respective team gets a rating.Â
As such, the South Carolina Gamecocks have several guys in the rankings. For EA Sports, the closer a player's rating is to 100 the highest they are rated. Â
Star EDGE rusher Dylan Stewart's big offseason continued, as he was rated as the highest ranked EDGE rusher overall. He took the top spot ahead of Minnesota's Anthony Smith and Oregon's Teitum Tuioti. Gamecock offensive tackle Jacarrius Peak also checked in as the No. 9 overall left offensive tackle, ranking 88th overall.Â
Here's a look at the top-10 highest ranked Gamecocks checked in EA Sports' ratings
- EDGE rusher Dylan Stewart: 93 overallÂ
- OT Jacarrius Peak: 88 overall
- DT Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy: 87 overall
- CB Judge Collier: 86 overall
- QB LaNorris Sellers 86 overall
- WR Nyck Harbor: 86 overall
- OT Emmanuel Poku: 84 overall

Stewart being ranked as high as he is should come as no surprise to Gamecock fans. He has been included in several 2027 NFL Mock Drafts already as a potential top-five pick, and has the potential to have one of his most productive seasons yet. The same goes for offensive tackle Jacarrius Peak, who spent the last two seasons at N.C. State. He is expected to give a major boost to quarerback LaNorris Sellers in pass protection this season, as he was sacked 43 times last season.
The game also released rankings for some of the toughest places to play in the country in terms of college football stadiums. Williams-Brice checked in at No. 16 overall in the country.
