The Indiana Fever announced today that forward Chloe Bibby will miss the remainder of the 2025 WNBA season after suffering a left knee injury. The setback comes after Bibby had cut out a spot on the Fever roster. Bibby originally joined the Fever on a seven-day contract in late July and impressed enough to earn a deal through the resr of the season. While the setback ends her season prematurely, the team confirmed she is expected to make a full recovery.
To fill the void, Indiana signed rookie guard and former Gamecock Bree Hall to a Rest-of-Season hardship contract. Hall, selected by the Indiana Fever with the No. 20 pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, spent training camp and preseason with the team. She appeared in the May 4 exhibition against the Brazil National Team, scoring nine points and grabbing four rebounds.
Hall's WNBA journey has been a whirlwind. This is her fourth stint with two different teams in 2025, including two hardship contracts with the Golden State Valkyries. Her first run with Golden State ran from June 18-30 and gave Hall a chance to play in front of former coach Dawn Staley.
Hall's resume is already stacked with championship pedigree. A two-time NCAA Champion at the University of South Carolina, she played a key role in Staley's powerhouse program before transitioning to pros.
Now back in Indiana, Hall will wear No. 3 as she takes on her latest opportunity in the WNBA. For a Fever team looking to close out the season on a positive note despite Bibby's absence, Hall's versatility and winning background could provide a timely spark.
