Brandon Cisse helps SEC lead 2026 NFL Draft with most players selected after Day 2

Night one of the 2026 NFL Draft was a huge one for the Big Ten. WIth the conference's 10 selections in the first round, it successfully ended the SEC's 19-year streak of having the most players selected in the first round. 

But during Rounds 2 and 3 during Day Two, the SEC made up major ground. Friday night's draft, featuring big SEC names such as Texas A&M's Chase Bisontis, Missouri's Zion Young, Tennessee's Chris Brazzell and South Carolina's own Brandon Cisse get drafted. With the picks, the SEC blew past the Big Ten, and wrapped up Friday night's draft leading the way with 36 players selected. The Big Ten had 29, with the ACC and Big 12 having 14 each. 

Cisse went No. 52 overall to the Green Bay Packers, and was the first Gamecock taken in this year's NFL Draft.

We will have to see which conference ends up having the most draft picks after rounds four-seven. But the SEC has to love running up the score against the Big Ten after it was bested in night one.
