South Carolina has a chance to do something this weekend that they have been unable to do all season long, and that is to take down a ranked opponent. Two out of the three times they were faced against a ranked opponent, the Gamecocks came very close to getting the upset win but turned the ball over when it mattered most and were unable to come away with the win.

The good news for the Gamecocks is that they are in the month of November, a month that historically has been good to them under head coach Shane Beamer. Beamer's teams have shown they know how to finish a season strong, and with South Carolina being two wins away from becoming bowl-eligible, they need to use the momentum they got from the Oklahoma game and build off of it.

The defense came alive against Alabama and Oklahoma, and they need to continue that this week. The offense has had an extra week to prepare with the bye week in Week 9, so hopefully, they can get on the same page, and the return of wide receiver Jared Brown can help the Gamecocks come away with a win against a ranked opponent for the first time this season.
