The South Carolina Gamecocks are struggling to find wins on the football field, going 0-2 against Mississippi State and a blowout loss to Alabama.
Although he entered the season squarely on the hot seat, there is now an immense amount of pressure on head coach Shane Beamer to start winning immediately, Usually when there are questions about a coach's job security, the recruiting classes typically begin to crack. And the Gamecocks could be on the verge of that happening.
Four-star receiver Joseph "Jett" Gibbs committed to South Carolina in early July. But he could potentially be on the verge of flipping elsewhere. Gibbs has locked in several official visits this fall, none of which are to South Carolina.
Gibbs will take visits to fellow SEC schools in Tennessee, Alabama and Ole Miss. Outside of the SEC, Gibbs will also take visits this fall to UNC, which is located in his home state of North Carolina. Gibbs also plans to visit Ohio State and Notre Dame in November:

While Gibbs remains committed to South Carolina right now, his recruiting has been heating up in recent weeks. He received offers from Notre Dame, Ohio State and Michigan just this month. His 247Sports page does not list offers from Alabama, UNC, Tennessee or Ole Miss, but those could be coming with his upcoming visits scheduled.
South Carolina was one of the first schools to offer Gibbs back in June. His commitment came a little over a month later. According to the 247Sports Composite, he is rated as the No. 7 overall prospect out of the state of North Carolina and the No. 24 overall receiver for the class of 2028.
He is having a strong junior season so far at Southeast Almanac in Haw River, N.C., getting 19 receptions for 420 yards with seven touchdowns. He is also averaging 22.1 yards per catch.
While of course it is still early in Gibbs recruiting process, and he remains committed to South Carolina, it's not the best sign that he is taking visits elsewhere this fall. South Carolina's 2028 class currently ranks 14th nationally, and also includes receiver Jhamari Cain.
