South Carolina football: Gamecocks vs. Tigers injury report, spread, over/under, schedule, live Stream, TV channel
By Jacob Elsey
The South Carolina football team suffered a disappointing loss to SEC foe Missouri last weekend, dropping a close matchup 31-28. The defeat put the Gamecocks at 5-5 on the season as they continue to battle for bowl eligibility.
The team returns home this week to take on Auburn and will see a few familiar faces coming back to Columbia. Most notably, Mike Bobo returns after spurning the Gamecocks as offensive coordinator and bolting for The Plains. Some South Carolina fans haven’t quite let it go, turning to social media to take jabs at the former staffer.
Hopefully the Gamecocks can get their revenge on Bobo and pick up their second straight win in the series over the Tigers. They took down Auburn 30-22 last year in Williams-Brice Stadium.

Gamecocks vs. Auburn Odds, Spread, Over/Under & Betting Pick Week 12.
South Carolina is currently listed as a 7.5-point underdog at home to the Tigers at WynnBet’s online sportsbook.. The Gamecocks have +240 odds of winning outright while Auburn’s moneyline odds sit at -325. The over/under is set at just 44.5.
The Gamecocks blew their best opportunity to grab bowl eligibility last weekend with a disappointing performance at Missouri. In that game, the South Carolina defense failed to contain running back Tyler Badie, who gashed Clayton White’s unit for 209 yards on the ground.
Things don’t get any easier this weekend as Tank Bigsby comes to town. He’s piled up 776 rushing yards to date and will be a huge focal point in the offense with quarterback Bo Nix suffering a season-ending ankle injury last week.
Nix’s replacement will be transfer TJ Finley, who smoked the Gamecocks last year in his first career start. Finley threw for two touchdowns and ran for another as LSU took down South Carolina, 52-24.
The Gamecocks’ offense has been playing better of late with Jason Brown giving the team a boost under center. After failing to score more than 23 points versus an FBS opponent through eight games, South Carolina has rolled to 68 points in the last two weeks.
They’ll need things to continue clicking on offense if they want to land their sixth win on the year.
With Auburn’s injuries mounting, combined with an absolute collapse in the second half versus Mississippi State last week, we’re tempted to take South Carolina to pull the upset. Unfortunately, the latest defensive showing against the run has us cautious and we’ve already seen what TJ Finley can do under center.
We’ll pick the Gamecocks to cover in a relatively high scoring affair.
