South Carolina Football: Top 5 Running Backs on Gamecocks’ Schedule
By Jacob Elsey
#2. ISAIAH SPILLER
The Texas A&M Aggies will have a dangerous three-headed rushing attack behind quarterback Kellen Mond, running back Cordarrian Richardson, and the No. 2 back on this list, Isaiah Spiller.
In his first season on campus, Spiller ran for a team-high 946 yards and 10 touchdowns on his way to All-Conference honors. He surpassed the 75-yard mark in seven games, and tied an Aggie freshman record with a 217-yard performance against the University of Texas-San Antonio. Gamecock fans should be familiar, as he thrashed the Carolina defense for 129 yards a week later.
Spiller owns some pass catching skills, too, recording 29 receptions for 203 yards. He’ll look to avoid a sophomore slump and earn his first 1,000-yard season in the A&M backfield.
