Redshirt senior Alexander Woznick has decided to transfer, becoming the second Carolina player in as many days to leave the program.  Backup offensive lineman Summie Carlay entered the transfer portal yesterday.

Woznick joined the team in 2016 with Will Muschamp’s first recruiting class.  The Greenville native redshirted as a freshman, but opened the 2017 season as the Gamecocks’ starting placekicker.  That year, he finished 1-of-3 on field goal attempts and made 10 of his 11 extra points.

Over the past two seasons, Woznick has been used mostly on kickoff duties.  He was projected to backup incumbent Parker White in 2020.

Per a report from 247 Sports, Woznick was not on scholarship, so his departure does not affect those numbers for the upcoming season.  It does, however, impact the depth at placekicker, so the Gamecocks will need to find a new backup for White.

Woznick will be a graduate transfer, eligible immediately.  He has not yet decided on his next destination.
