Garnet and Cocky: What do you expect to see from Trevor Lawrence in his first game in this rivalry? Any chance we see him have some first quarter jitters with the magnitude of the game?

Rubbing the Rock: Lawrence has played well this season, but Clemson’s offense has really struggled to get going early on in games at times this year. Part of that is certainly due to Trevor Lawrence’s inexperience.

I think we could see him struggle early on if South Carolina could find a way to create some pressure. If you give the young freshman all day to sit back in the pocket, he’s going to pick that secondary apart and once he gets going, he’s hard to stop.

But, if the Gamecocks can get in the backfield, make the windows tight in coverage and create some pressure, I think there’s a chance we see Lawrence get a nervous and perhaps make a mistake or two early in the game.
