7. Gamecocks Start the Season 9-0 Including Winning the Brooklyn Hoops Holiday Invitational

This stretch was the perfect way to start the season. It not only was a confidence builder, but they also got resume building wins early in the season. Home wins against Michigan and Monmouth, as well as a neutral site win against Syracuse took a lot of the pressure off the Gamecocks to get quality wins down the stretch.

Their performance in the Invitational also proved that this team played their best on the biggest stage when their was a lot on the line.
