Michael Carrera has found his niche on Frank Martin’s team as a pesky, undersized power forward that has a knack for not only coming up with the ball, but also getting under the skin of his opponents (as seen in the fitting picture above). Last season, Carrera averaged 9.9 points per game and 7.2 rebound per game. This season, he will make the transition to the wing due to an influx of post players in the 2015 recruiting class. Carrera exploded in the SC Pro Am recently averaging 30 points per game. Although the Pro Am is not known for teams playing great defense, it is exciting to see Carrera showing that he could be a serious threat to score from the wing on a team that had trouble scoring the ball last season. The defensive match-up is a nightmare for opposing teams as well.
