By Sydney Hunte
South Carolina Gamecocks quarterback Brendan Nosovitch has had a change of heart.
The depth QB, who had considered transferring out of South Carolina in search of more playing time elsewhere, told the media after Sunday’s scrimmage that he wasn’t going anywhere.

Playing time at quarterback was going to be hard to come by for Nosovitch. With
Dylan Thompsonthe starter and
Connor Mitchand
Perry Orthbehind him, the redshirt sophomore was the odd man out at the position. The coaching staff then wanted to plug him in at tight end in an attempt to get him more involved in the offense, but Nosovitch was rumored to have decided to seek out another school in which he would have a more legitimate shot under center. Days later, after thinking it over and (undoubtedly) consulting parents and others’ feedback on the subject, it looks like he is staying in Columbia.
The tight end spot could present some good opportunities for Nosovitch. Apparent starter Busta Anderson is hurt and is not a positive to be ready to go on August 28. That could set up a little battle between the number two TE, Jerell Adams, and Drew Owens, number three on the depth chart, to see who will see the field the most.
