South Carolina Gamecocks wide receiver Nyckoles “Nyck” Harbor has solidified his commitment to the team by signing a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal with the Garnet Trust, the university’s official NIL collective.
Harbor, a 6-foot-5, 235-pound sophomore, emerged as a standout athlete in the 2024 season, recording 24 receptions for 376 yards and three touchdowns, ranking second on the team behind tight end Joshua Simon.
His exceptional speed and athleticism have also been showcased on the track, where he earned co-SEC Freshman of the Week honors and recorded personal bests of 10.11 seconds in the 100-meter dash and 20.20 seconds in the 200-meter dash, earning second-team All-America honors in both events.
The NIL agreement with the Garnet Trust not only underscores Harbor’s value to the Gamecocks but also suggests his intention to remain with the program for the 2025 season, during which he will be eligible for the NFL Draft.
With quarterback LaNorris Sellers also returning, the duo is poised to lead South Carolina’s offense to new heights following a successful 9-4 campaign in 2024.
Harbor’s athletic prowess dates back to his high school days at Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington, D.C., where he excelled as a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year in both football and track and field.
His continued development in both sports at the collegiate level positions him as one of the most dynamic athletes in the Southeastern Conference (SEC).
The Garnet Trust’s investment in Harbor reflects the growing importance of NIL agreements in retaining top talent within college athletics, ensuring that standout players like Harbor have the support and incentives to continue their collegiate careers before transitioning to professional opportunities.
