After the Gamecocks' 2025 season ended, crews moved in immediately to begin the first phase of the $350 million, multi-year renovation project now officially dubbed Williams-Brice Reimagined. This isn’t conceptual anymore; the demolition and early construction are visibly happening on site.

Phase One is in Progress
- Demolition work has been completed or is wrapping up, including the Floyd Building and the southwest ramp.
- Crews have started moving into driving piles and foundational work, preparing for new structures.
- Early focus is on expanding/and widening concourses, adding more concession stands and bathrooms, and laying groundwork for the new student club space and circulation improvements.
- This phase is slated to be largely complete before the 2026 football season, meaning the stadium should be operational at full capacity for home games.
The first stage of demolition and construction is on schedule. The visible progress is happening, and the major Phase 1 construction will continue through the first part of the year.
Looking Ahead at Phase Two
Phase Two is slated for post-2026 season through August of 2027. It will begin after next year's football season with focus on premium spaces. The plan is up to 43 premium suites, nearly tripling current suite count. The westside reconfiguration, escalators, field-level club space, and student amenities will finish at this point.
Phase Two will be the most disruptive phase for fans, with seat reselection and the work on the west side of the stadium. The goal is for this phase to be the biggest leap in fan experience with wider concourses, better flow, club spaces, bars, and bathrooms.
Phase Three (Post-2027 Season to 2028)
The final phase is the external polish on the stadium with a southwest scoreboard installation, southeast tower rebuild, and symmetry with the upgrades on the west side.
The overall construction is projected to last through 2028 with major components operational early on, phased around the football season so that game day disruptions are minimized.
Why This Matters and What Fans Will Actually See
Fan Experience & Amenities
- Expanded concourses and circulation mean less congestion on game day.
- More concessions and more restrooms, which are both long overdue, especially for women’s facilities.
- Two new videoboards go up in the south end zone at later phases.
- Student club space and terrace that will elevate student game-day social space.
- And finally, massive premium upgrade almost tripling suites from 18 to more than 40, which is a big revenue play.
Player and Team Spaces
The upgrades are not just for fans. There will also be upgraded locker rooms, team lobbies, and training spaces.
