The NCAA Women's Tournament is finally here, and college basketball teams across the country are ready to show us once again why March Madness is the best time of year.Â
This year, the favorites include the likes of No. 1 seeds in UConn, UCLA, and Texas, but teams like South Carolina, Louisville, Iowa and Vanderbilt are also eager to make deep runs.Â
Although the first round of action officially began on Friday, the first round extended into Saturday.Â

Biggest games and upsets to watch for
No. 11 Fairfield vs. Notre Dame
Notre Dame is led by star Hannah Hidalgo, and the Irish are expected to make a deep run in the tournament. But don't sleep on Fairfield, who are looking to get a first-ever NCAA Tourney win. The Stags rank 80.6 on defense, good for 13th nationally.Â
No. 10 Colorado vs. IllinoisÂ
Illinois is listed as a slight 3.5-point favorite, but the Illini have dropped three of their last five games against Big Ten opponents. Colorado, meanwhile, has been on a 10-4 run dating back to late January, and fell by one point to WVU in the Big 12 Tournament.Â
No. 9 USC vs. No. 8 Clemson
The Trojans are slight favorites, but Clemson will have the advantage thanks to USC having a cross-country flight and an early tip time. Whoever wins this one will likely face the hosting South Carolina Gamecocks. Â
No. 9 Princeton vs. No. 8 Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State is favored by 6.5 points, but it's hard to pick against Princeton in this one. The Tigers have lost just three games all season, with its last loss coming on Feb. 13. Princeton will be looking for its fourth all-time tournament victory.Â
