The countdown to college football is officially on! With only 100 days until the 2025 season kicking off, the South Carolina Gamecocks have plenty of reasons to be excited. On3's Clark Brooks released his annual Top 100 Players in College Football rankings, and three Gamecocks made the cut, including two in the top 10.

Leading the way is edge rusher Dylan Stewart. Landing at the No. 2 spot in the rankings, Brooks called Stewart "an impact player in every sense of the word," highlighting his unique blend of size at 6-foot-6 and 250-pounds, athleticism, and disruption. Stewart is the only returning defensive lineman in the country to rank inside the top four in both havoc plays (62) and PFF pass rush grade (91.4). As a rising sophomore, Stewart's dominance is just getting started, and Gamecock fans have every reason to believe he could be the best defensive player in the SEC this fall.

Right behind Stewart is star quarterback LaNorris Sellers, who is ranked No. 8 overall. Sellers is coming off of a breakout campaign last season and has been cast into the national spotlight lately. Brooks praised Sellers, saying he has "spectacular" physical tools and decision-making, noting that he was the only SEC starter to finish in the top two for both Depth Adjusted Accuracy and Interceptable Percentage. Simply put, Sellers is dangerous with both his arm and his legs. Whether inside or outside of the pocket, he has all the tools to be a Heisman candidate and eventual first-round NFL Draft pick.

Also earning a spot on the list is safety Jalon Kilgore, checking in at No. 31. The hard-hitting defender has become an important key to the Gamecocks' secondary. Kilgore has showcased his elite instincts, physicality, and an ability to cover ground quickly in both run support and coverage on the field.

South Carolina's presence in the Top 100 reinforces the increasing buzz surrounding the program heading into the 2025 season. With Sellers leading the offense, Stewart overpowering opposing quarterbacks, and Kilgore anchoring the back end of the defense, the Gamecocks aren't just building, they are ready to break through this season.
