The South Carolina women's basketball team has been in Paris, France all week, preparing for the 2026-27 season opener against No. 20 Maryland. The game is part of the Oui-Play event, which will feature two women's basketball games at Adidas Arena in Paris.
The Gamecocks flew to Paris on Wednesday before the Monday game, so the team has been able to participate in some pretty cool cultural experiences. South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley has taken her team to a couple of unique places. First, the team got an inside look at the United States Ambassador to France's house, located in Paris:

The team also got to take a visit to the iconic Louvre Art Museum in France, which is home to the iconic Leonadri Da Vinci painting "The Mona Lisa." The team visited the museum on Friday:

The Oui Play is a pretty cool experience for all four women's teams to get to experience. In addition to getting to play in front of an international crowd in general, all four teams will likely be getting to experience culture such as this.
South Carolina will tip off at Noon ET on Monday, and the game will air live on ESPN. The Oui-Play event also features a game between No. 12 North Carolina and No. 21 Oklahoma, which will be played first before the game between the Gamecocks and Terps.
Monday's game will mark the first meeting between Maryland and South Carolina since the 2024-25 season. South Carolina's next non-conference game will be agaisnt No. 12 UNC on Sunday, Nov. 8, in Charlotte, N.C.
